Town Quay Road, Southampton, United Kingdom

Boutique Waterfront Accommodations

Ennios Boutique Hotel occupies the former Geddes Warehouse in Southampton's historic dock walls, featuring ten ensuite rooms with unique views of the waterfront. Rooms include Egyptian cotton bedding, L'Occitane toiletries, free WiFi, safes, and air conditioning. The Four-Poster Room measures 200 ft² with a romantic four-poster bed, while other rooms offer seating areas. Original structural columns throughout recognize the building's history as the luggage storage for Titanic first-class passengers.

Authentic Italian Dining

The ground floor houses a 100-seat Italian restaurant serving fresh pasta dishes like linguine alla marinara and daily fish selections including hake with mash potato or whole sea bass filleted tableside. Head Chef creates traditional Italian cuisine using quality ingredients. The wine list features vintages from Masi in Veneto plus Sardinian and Sicilian options. Sunday roasts and a front terrace with views of the ferry terminal are available.

Bar and Wine Experiences

The bar offers classic cocktails, Italian aperitivi, beer, cider, and wine by the glass, alongside coffees, liqueurs, malt whiskies, and brandies. Wine tasting experiences include a three-course meal prepared in the kitchen. Smart terrace tables with black awnings provide outdoor seating overlooking Southampton Water and the Red Funnel ferry terminal.

Historic Waterfront Location

Located directly across from the Red Funnel terminal with views of Southampton Water, the hotel is 0.3 km from Southampton Town Walls and Mayflower Pilgrims Memorial, 0.5 km from Mayflower Park, Tudor House and Garden, Westquay shopping center, and Holy Rood Church. Southampton city center is 10 km away. The building was designed by Scottish architect John Geddes.

Family-Run Hospitality

Evening and morning teams provide personalized service for a relaxed stay. The hotel offers ironing facilities, heating, tea and coffee facilities, mini-bars, and soundproofed rooms. Special packages include Dine & Stay options with accommodation and dinner credits. All guests arriving after 14:00 on Sundays must confirm arrival times. The property maintains the service style of a family-run establishment.

My stay at this hotel was a great experience overall. The room was warm and comfortable, though the streetlight made it very bright once the lights were out. It was mostly quiet, except for the glass recycling being emptied late in the evening. The service was top-notch, with the staff going out of their way to accommodate us and even putting some food aside for me. The location was perfect for our needs, as we were heading off on a cruise the next day and it's right across from the harbor. The dining experience was decent, although not exceptional. The facilities were satisfactory, and the price was reasonable for the value provided.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel overall. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to assist us. The room was initially not ideal, but after expressing our concerns, we were swiftly moved to a more peaceful location at the back of the hotel, ensuring a restful experience. However, the noise from the busy road outside was a bit disturbing. The location was convenient for our cruise embarkation, but the dining options were a bit pricey for what was offered.

The hotel offers rooms that are beautifully decorated with attention to detail, providing a cozy English country house style. The service is friendly and helpful, while the location is perfect for those heading off on a cruise. The dining experience, however, might not suit early risers due to the late start time. Overall, a charming and comfortable stay.

My stay at the hotel was wonderful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, although the road noise could be better insulated. The hot shower and fresh fluffy towels made it perfect. The location, although noisy due to traffic, was ideal for the wedding I attended and being near the cruise terminals. The dining experience was decent, but the pricing could be more reasonable for what is offered.
